We had a little extra time while in southwest Virginia and opted for a stop in historic Abingdon. Sounded simple enough -- let's exit the interstate, find a place to park, and take a walk down the historic Abingdon Main Street. But finding a place to park 40 feet of truck and Airstream can be just a little difficult.
Luckily we found an empty parking lot at a downtown church and hoped they wouldn't mind. Thank you, Abingdon Baptist Church.

Abingdon, Virginia is a beautiful town that's loaded with history and well worth visiting.
If you're towing an Airstream, don't let that stop you. There's plenty of parking.
